Extending previous session's downtrend, the Canadian dollar ticked down further against the Australian dollar in New York afternoon trading on Friday. At present, the loonie is trading near new multi-year low of 0.9855 versus the Aussie, compared to yesterday's closing value of 0.9700.
Against the Japanese yen, the loonie also traded lower in today's afternoon session and presently trading near fresh multi-day low of 83.60. The loonie-yen pair was worth 85.21 at Thursday's close.
