Tuesday, Openwave Systems Inc. (OPWV) announced collaboration with Alcatel-Lucent (ALU) to create pre-configured software solutions for service providers. The solutions will consist of Openwave's open internet, service management with advanced professional services from Alcatel-Lucent.
Openwave noted that the initial roll out of the software solution would be powered by Openwave Integra platform designed to rapidly enable open, secure multimedia and multi-protocol service deployment on converged networks. It will also consist of Openwave OpenWeb designed to offer broader range of content choices, Openwave Passport, to offer on-demand mobile internet access, and Openwave OpenMedia designed to make content more compelling on a mobile device.
